DETROIT - RISE AGAIN
2013
“ To my dad, who turned his obsession into my addiction”
A fallen city. Images that seem to resemble apocalyptic scenarios, outplayed by the rise and fall of the car industry, the declining economy and a history, overshadowed by riots.
The Lee Plaza hotel, an empty shell, with rooms full of stories, that don’t resemble its former glory and upscale living. Its elegance long gone, it’s precious insides stolen. Maneuvering through the fifteen stories high rise, broken glass, corridors filled with cloths knee deep, looking for an inspiration.
It became a treasure hunt, a treasure hunt for chairs.
