Six months after the catastrophic hurricane Irma slammed into Sint Maarten, the long road to recovery is starting to bear fruit, nevertheless signs of destruction are still visible all over the island.

Cecile Lubrani, French artist and first hand witness of the force that ripped the island apart on September 6th, 2017, joined Los Angeles based artist Maria Loewenstein on an artistic endeavor to portray the new “normal”, islanders are confronted with.
